W3C Validator are enigmatic information to encoding

W3C Validator are enigmatic information to encoding
Quote: A fatal error occurred When Attempting to transcode the character encoding of the document. Either we do not support this character encoding ("none") yet, or you have specified a non-existent character encoding (Often a misspelling). The error was: Encoding not supported. If you believe the character encoding to be valid You can submit a request for that character encoding (see the feedback page for details) and we will look into supporting it in the future. IANA Maintains the list of official names for character sets and the WDG has some information to help you correctly specify the character encoding. Here is my header:

DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "- // W3C // DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional // EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns = "http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv = "Content-Type" content = "text / html; charset = utf-8" /> <meta name = " keywords "content =" Ricarda Dietz, painter, Munich "/> <meta name =" description "content =" Ricarda Dietz designed for over 40 years the public space. No, and what you mean is an HTML header, but that's not here. It's about the HTTP header. This is a setting pixlr express on the server that needs to be gendert either directly in the server configuration or via .htaccess
// Example for PHP header ('Content-Type: text / html; charset = UTF-8'); Edit: also true again. Did a little pixlr express editing, so that the post reads more appropriate.
